FAMILY ADVENTURES

Draw a straight line from the farm to the coast and you'll hit Redgate Beach. It's the closest stretch of sand to us, and one of the prettiest in the region.
Redgate handles most of what you'd want from a beach day: surfing, fishing, and long walks on white sand. Keep the little ones on the calmer water and watch for rips along the main beach. Wander to the far south end, past the surf, and you'll reach a run of granite boulders that pulls climbers in for a session of bouldering.
Onto the Cape to Cape
Redgate is also a handy entry point to the Cape to Cape Track, the 135km coastal walk that follows the spine of the Leeuwin-Naturaliste Ridge between Cape Naturaliste and Cape Leeuwin. You don't have to take on the whole thing. Pick up the track at Redgate, walk a morning of it, and turn back once you've had your fill of ocean.
Keep heading south along Caves Road, about five minutes by car, and you reach Contos Beach. It's also a few hours on foot from Redgate if you'd rather earn it along the Cape to Cape.
We're twelve minutes from Margaret River and a straight shot to the coast.
